Day 12
Nice is nice.
Nice was a surprise. I loved it! The old Italian part of town was just enough to complement the resort feel of the city. Beautiful to walk, there is also a great tram running through the center of town to get you where you wanted to go quickly and cheaply. On our free time, I made my way to both the Matisse and Chagall museums and neither disappointed. The farmer's market was a feast for the eyes. .
Our Nice tour was a walk through the old Italian part of the city which was just enchanting. We also visited one of the palaces in this section of tour and was witness to the opulent lives that lived in these apartments.
Nice was also the place for our last group dinner and a final toast down on the beach. It was a perfect end to a wonderful adventure through the French countryside. This tour had a great balance of history, culture, and down time. Julie Sonveau is a caring and very giving tour guide who strived to make everybodys experience exactly what they dreamed of.

!!!! Don't try to ride the tram without a ticket.....the police are ruthless about checking for tickets. No, I did not find this out first hand, but I did witness a passenger get the third degree about not having a ticket.....not fun!
The Nice Farmer's Market

The Last Supper......Southern France style.
