Day 13
Early morning Nice
I highly recommend early morning strolls, if nothing else for the light. I have found that these mini adventures give you insights to the daily routines of locals. Quietly, I walk along enjoying fairly deserted streets and the noises filtering down from the lives being lived in the apartments above. Over the years these early morning jaunts have provided some of my most unique and favorite travel memories. From nuns singing in Italy, chirping swallows in Spain to an overheard cello practice in Amsterdam, these audio jewels add another layer to my travel memories.....and the light for photos is golden!
Like I said, "Nice is nice".
After my walk, I had a leisurely breakfast and moved on to my new hotel. I spent the weekend in Nice enjoying the beach, the museums and the local atmosphere. During my Saturday afternoon I stumbled upon an antique market and spent some time there "window shopping". On Sunday I took a little field trip to Village-sur-Mer for a different view of the French Riveria.
Flip through my sketchbook......Enjoy!
